Salicylic Acid

What is Salicylic Acid?

In skincare, there are two categories of acids that are used in the exfoliation of the skin. There are alpha-hydroxy-acids (AHAs), which are derived from sources like sugar, sugar cane, fruit, or milk, and these are generally recommended for either dry, sun-damaged or aging skin. Next, there are beta-hydroxy-acids (BHAs), which are oil-soluble and great for oily, acne-prone skin.
