What is a Russian Manicure?
A Russian manicure is a manicure technique that makes use of an electronic file to remove the excess skin surrounding your nail bed. Compared to using “nippers” it allows the nail technician more control and prevents against cutting the nail too aggressively. The result: perfectly trimmed and smooth around the edges, a clean finished look.
Whether your nail technician is using regular nippers or a machine there is always the risk that your skin could be injured, leaving you exposed to infection. There has been an ongoing debate over what method of manicure is best, but the risk comes down the skill.
